Importing existing data

File Import Support

The following applies to order import, customer import, product import, stock import, product image import and media import.

Excel File (*.xlsx)

Microsoft Excel provides users with two options to save a file with the extension *.xlsx. The "Excel Workbook" format is widely accepted as a standard file format, and is the one supported by the KMMRCE system. Please ensure that the uploaded file adheres to this format.

  • To fix the following error: img.png We recommend converting the file to an "Excel Workbook" by opening the file in Excel, navigating to File -> Save As and selecting the "Excel Workbook" from the dropdown as shown in the image above.

  • If you encounter the following error after uploading an Excel Workbook: img.png It is possible that the file is corrupted. In such case, we recommend trying to re-upload the file or uploading a different file in the correct format. Additionally, we suggest checking the file for any errors by attempting to open it in a different program.

Comma-Separated Values File (*.csv)

Note: Order import does not support importing a CSV file. To import orders, please convert the file to an Excel Workbook.

  • If you encounter the following error after uploading a CSV: img.png It is possible that the file is corrupted. In such case, we recomment attempting to repair the file by opening it in a text editor and fixing any formatting issues. Alternatively, we re suggest trying to open the file in a different program or exporting the CSV again from the original source.
